The COURIR brand by our side
Partnership
1 March 2022
A new group, well known to the public, has joined The SeaCleaners' corporate partners. Courir, the leading sneaker retailer in France, has joined us by signing a sponsorship agreement on February 16.
This move is part of the CSR policy implemented by Courir and called “Green Spirit”. It reinforces the sustainable development aspect of a program that covers working conditions, inclusion, responsible purchasing policy and in-depth studies on the life cycle of sneakers.
Courir’s support includes a financial contribution to The SeaCleaners‘ projects, but the company also plans to involve its customers through Solidary Rounding and online purchases made on the website. With a network of more than 300 stores in Europe, it will be able to offer maximum visibility to the actions and messages of The SeaCleaners among a young and urban audience.
And since Courir’s commitment to The SeaCleaners is a true corporate project, employees are already preparing actions in the field to fight plastic pollution.
Yvan Bourgnon, President and Founder of The SeaCleaners, says:
“Courir is one of the major brands for whom Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility is a daily reality that goes beyond fine words. The entire team at The SeaCleaners was impressed with their ‘Green Spirit’ program and their concrete commitments to more responsible fashion. We accompany all our corporate partners to enable them to go even further in their actions for the planet: with COURIR, we have an already convinced partner, active and full of ideas. We are therefore very happy and proud that they are joining our fight to protect the oceans.”
Pierre Chambaudrie, President of Courir Group, adds:
“We are delighted to support The SeaCleaners because their action is totally consistent with our business. We owe a debt regarding the collection and recovery of plastic that we use a lot through the sale of sneakers. This support is part of a global approach for the company. We have found in the teams of The SeaCleaners and in particular in Yvan Bourgnon people who are both passionate and structured. Their project is very complete, starting with the necessary awareness of this major cause and going all the way to the collection and processing of plastics. For us, this is a long-term commitment. The teams in stores and in head office, and myself of course, will be very proud to contribute to floating the Manta, Yvan’s flagship project, in a few years’ time.”
